The MedaCube is a ‘Timed Medication Locked Box,’ approved under the Prosthetic and Sensory Aids Service (PSAS) for veterans. This guide will walk you through the steps to submit a consult for ordering the MedaCube, ensuring your veterans receive the medication management support they need.

How does the device directly treat & rehab the Patient’s Condition. Below are examples of common reasons for prescription
• Patient has cognitive difficulties or dementia interfering with their ability to use a standard pillbox. The MedaCube will allow this patient to overcome their cognitive loss and to be able to independently take medication as prescribed.
• Patient has difficulties taking medication on the prescribed schedule due to cognitive or dexterity limitations, worsening their health status. The MedaCube will ensure that this patient takes their medication on the prescribed schedule.
• Medications are at risk for diversion or abuse and should be in a locked, regulated dispenser. The MedaCube will ensure that the medications are secure
